I am writing to make you aware of the Leicestershire CCC Search for a Star 2016, an exciting opportunity providing a once in a lifetime opportunity to individuals from Leicestershire the chance to live the dream and become a professional cricketer with Leicestershire County Cricket Club.

The entry criteria for participants is as follows:

- Aged 16 to 24

- Plays outside of the Leicestershire Premier League

The process begins with trials, open to all who meet the above criteria.

At the end of the process, Leicestershire CCC will offer one participant a professional Summer Contract for the 2017 season.

In the Documents section of the app there is a summary of the programme and a trial registration form for the upcoming trials on:

Wed 6th April 6.30 – 8.30pm and Sat 9th April 2.00 – 4.00pm at Crown Hills Community College

Thurs 14th April 7.00 – 9.00pm and Sat 16th April 1.00 – 3.00pm at the Fischer County Ground, Grace Road

Participants are required to send their completed registration forms in before the trial date.

This programme will link in with the City Cup process, as players from the city will get the opportunity to compete in City Cup fixtures.

This is an incredible opportunity for young players from the city to get their talent recognised. I am more than happy to attend any training sessions you are running to distribute forms and explain the process if required.
