Free Family open day - this Sunday - Leicestershire vs Kent

Leicestershire CCC is again opening its doors for the first day of the 2016 season to allow people to sample the matchday experience at the Fischer County Ground.

The club is hosting an Open Day from 10am on the first day of the Kent game whereby people can come to watch absolutely FREE of charge.

There will be a number of fun events as well as the cricket with children being entertained by a treasure hunt, balloon modelling, bouncy castle, face painting and arts & crafts between 12 noon and 3pm. Children will also receive a free packet of sweets* on the day and adults can claim a free cup of tea or coffee**.

Leicestershire CCC is also welcoming the Royal Air Force and Leicester City Council’s Health & Wellbeing team to the FCG, and there will be a special Richard III exhibition event courtesy of the University of Leicester.

We will have a three-course meal available for those who would like to book lunch with us in the Charles Palmer Restaurant. Adults can dine for £15.95 for a delicious three-course lunch with coffee and red fox mints (two course option for £13.95) and people are advised to book in advance as our Restaurant fills quickly.

A hog roast will also be available at the Bennett End of the ground with a number of delicious treats on offer. There will be roast pork with sage stuffing and crackling served in a Brioche bap (£4.50) and a child’s portion (£3.00) is also available. A variety of sauce options are available including apple, BBQ, ketchup and mustard.

A vegetarian option is also on offer, with a roasted flat mushroom, buffalo tomato and mozzarella served in a brioche bap (4.50) with either mayonnaise, garlic mayonnaise or pesto.

As part of the day’s exciting activities, the club will also be showing the huge Premier League fixture between Leicester City and Swansea City on televisions around the ground at 4.15pm.
